Conspirators of Dr. Rajan Mahtani have targeted his reputation and business time and again. Either by forcefully capturing factories and plants or by using paid media channels to brand him corrupt or traitor, these conspirators has left no stones unturned. Dr. Mahtani has remained silent and unaffected most of the times. However, there are some occasions wherein these conspirators cross their limits. In such cases, he is bound to take legal actions against these conspirators. Such a case was filed by Finance Bank with support from Dr. Rajan Mahtani against Simaata. He was sued by the bank for releasing confidential documents and testifying against the bank.

The case was taken to Supreme Court of Zambia. The judges, after looking into the facts and evidences, gave the verdict that Simaata Simaata was indeed guilty of breaching the contract. He entered this contract with the Finance Bank and the intervener was Dr. Rajan Mahtani. It was clearly mentioned that the documents and statements in the agreement were confidential and not to be shared with any outsider under any circumstance. However, Simaata clearly violated the agreement terms at various occasions. He testified against Dr. Mahtani & Finance Bank at various courts and at numerous occasions. Furthermore, he also released sensitive documents to newspaper. All these activities amounted to substantial reputational loss as well as probable loss of revenue for the bank.

As per the judgement by the Supreme Court, “All circumstances considered, we are satisfied that the respondent (Simataa) did in fact breach clause 5 of the Settlement Agreement and is guilty of the charges made against him.”

This win is a huge statement for all those conspirators of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. It is also a signal for them that Dr. Mahtani is no longer going to accept any fake campaigns or conspiracies against him and the people conspiring against him will surely face consequences at the hands of the law.
