The past events that occurred across the nation of Zambia have raised many questions, both good and bad. At one hand, people are Zambia is rejoicing the recent win by Dr. Rajan Mahtani and Finance Bank Zambia over its biggest conspirator yet, Simaata Simaata. At the same time, businessmen are worried about the prospects and future of their businesses looking at how easily it was to create a defamation campaign against a celebrated bank. Most of the businesses across Zambia have now started requesting the government to look into the manner more thoroughly and take action against those who create such campaigns and defamation programs.

The government of Zambia have indeed started to look into the matters and the recent SC win by Finance Bank Zambia and Dr. Mahtani is a prime example that corruption and unethical practices will not be tolerated at any cost. However, the system and internal processes of the government needs to be strengthened and made more transparent. Earlier, the conspirators of Dr. Rajan Mahtani resorted to bribery and threatening people to get what they wanted. Their newest tool for targeting innocent and honest businessmen like Dr. Rajan Mahtani is paid media channels. They just need to provide these news channels with some monetary reward and the latter will start printing fake news stories and false news items. Dr. Mahtani has been a prime target of these conspiracy news items for quite some time. However, it was only when his own establishment was attacked by the conspirators and this attack resulted in reputational and financial loss, he started taking actions against these conspirators.

The case was launched at the Supreme Court Zambia. Dr. Mahtani had earlier approached High Courts but was met with disappointment even after having all the right evidences. This time, it was the SC which gave rightful justice to the bank and it’s Ex-Chairman Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Simaata was convicted and was also penalized for his activities.
