Forbes Confers Critical Entrepreneurship Award To Dr. Mahtani

The Forbes-FIN (Foreign Investment Network) philanthropy and roundtable conference was recently completed in Africa. It was a virtual event because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Rajan Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, was invited to this event as an honorary speaker and discussed the significance of leadership in healthcare, especially political leadership. The FIN event is a conference that is held annually in New York and the focus is identifying philanthropic achievements and opportunities towards empowerment of the African nation. The FIN event saw participation from top business personalities as well as visionaries and leaders from across Africa and globally.

The FIN roundtable conference was the highlight event across Africa for the year 2021. A major reason for this anticipation was the inclusion of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards recognize and celebrate leading lights in the field of philanthropy and leadership. The awards hold high value as they are created and distributed by Forbes itself. At the same time, the process of selecting the awardees is extremely rigorous yet transparent, leading up to months of verification processes, background checks as well as interviews and discussions with the potential recipients. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was conferred with one of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards during the ceremony. Forbes recognized the significant contributions made by Dr. Mahtani over the past several decades, especially towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia. As such, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was conferred with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award in 2021.

Dr. Mahtani received this award for not only redefining the Zambian banking sector but also for his numerous business and philanthropic contributions. He is known for his successful business ventures including companies like Mahtani Group and Finsbury Investments. Similarly, some of his major philanthropic contributions are Prison Fellowship Zambia as well as the Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
