The Lusaka High Court recently announced news which was extremely positive for Dr. Rajan Mahtani and his team. Dr. Mahtani is a successful businessman in Zambia, with many top companies and ventures under his belt. Some of his companies that have reached heights in terms of success and contributions to the society include Finance Bank Zambia, Finsbury Investments and Mahtani Group of Companies. He is also known for his charitable activities and philanthropic views and has maintained transparency and honesty in all of his business ventures. This transparent and honest nature of Dr. Rajan Mahtani has, over the years, invited various conspiracies and jealous parties. These jealous parties, comprising of individuals and groups, have continuously worked to ruin Dr. Mahtani’s image in the public with vested interests.

The Lusaka High Court recently made an announcement with respect to the case of Portland Cement Zambia. It is a cement factory for which two parties have been legally contesting for almost 10 years now. At one side, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has shared all required documents and evidences that prove his legal and rightful ownership over the factory. On the other hand, the Ventriglias have contested that Dr. Mahtani has not paid for the shares he owns at the factory. However, they have not been able to share even one single evidence to support their claim. On top of that, the Ventriglias have on several occasions, tried to malign Dr. Mahtani’s image by accusing him of arm-twisting or manipulating one of the shareholders. However, these claims have been thrashed by the judges due to the non-availability of any substantial evidences.

During the course of the trial, Dr. Mahtani and his lawyers have submitted various evidences such as signed shareholders’ documents, independent audit reports and financial exhibits, all showcasing his legal ownership over the factory. The recent announcement by the judge is a milestone and it is expected that the final judgment will be announced soon.
